About the Role
The Junior Civil Engineer will assist in the planning, coordination, supervision, execution, and monitoring of civil engineering and construction projects.
The successful candidate will support project teams in ensuring construction activities are carried out according to approved drawings, technical specifications, quality standards, project schedules, and safety requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Site Engineering & Construction Supervision
Assist with daily site supervision and construction monitoring
Inspect ongoing works to ensure compliance with project requirements
Monitor construction progress against project schedules
Support senior engineers in coordinating site activities
Ensure work is carried out according to approved engineering drawings
Project Coordination
Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, consultants, and suppliers
Assist with project scheduling and planning activities
Participate in site meetings and project discussions
Support project managers with progress tracking and reporting
Help ensure smooth communication between project stakeholders
Technical Support
Review engineering drawings and specifications
Assist in preparing technical reports and project documentation
Support engineering calculations and design reviews where required
Assist in resolving technical issues arising during construction
Maintain accurate project records and documentation
Quantity Surveying & Measurement
Assist with quantity take-offs and material calculations
Monitor material usage and site inventory
Support measurement and valuation activities
Help prepare project cost estimates and quantity reports
Quality Assurance & Quality Control
Conduct site inspections and quality checks
Ensure construction works comply with project specifications
Support quality testing and inspection procedures
Assist with preparation of quality documentation and reports
Health, Safety & Environmental Compliance
Support implementation of site safety procedures
Ensure compliance with HSE regulations and company policies
Participate in safety inspections and toolbox talks
Promote safe working practices on site
Report safety concerns and support corrective actions
